Saddle Construction

Many horse problems are caused by poor fitting saddles. Factory-made saddles fill a broad need, but many people want something different from the handmade tree to the carving and stamping, even the custom silver stamps hand-made onto each custom saddle as it is turned into a functional work of art.

The saddles shown are only a sample of what I’ve done. Your saddle can show your own can show your own individual style.

I use the best materials. Starting with a tree made by Ben Smanke, each tree itself is a work of art. I use Herman Oak Leather produced in St. Louis, Missouri. Each saddle has a leather groundseat which provides a comfortable seat to be rode in all day.

Base price includes either smooth or roughout leather, stainless steel or brass hardware cast by Twain Hardwood, a handmade mohair cinch, and a four inch wide lined flank cinch.

This is one of my latest saddles.
